My focus group's age ranges from 13-16 which are my target audiences age giving me an overview of exactly what my target audience like. Ultimately my focus group has told me they like a fashion magazine to be vibrant, eye-catching with cover lines that tell's them about trending fashion. The model should also stand out and have a little prop which is a really nice idea. This has given me an in-depth overview as I have now created a relationship with my target audience and what they like and dislike.

Prelim Task; Reader profile
In this reader profile, I have identified the fact the person who's going to read my magazine has high standards and is wealthy which tells me I have to have a very sophisticated vibe to my magazine. It should not look childish as it should include people who are in fashion especially expensive taste of fashion for example Balmain.
Prelim Task; Fashion photography analysis
Overall, I have found out that the main image is very important including; lighting, angle, facial expressions, pose. The lighting really brings out the mood of the magazine for example if the lighting is dark then something mysterious is going on which gives a spooky vibe. But on the other hand, if the lighting is bright it gives the connotations of joy and welcoming vibe. Also, the mis en scene is very important as it can tell us which age the magazine's for which this analysis has helped me what kind of things to do for my magazine which is targeted for the ages 14-18.
Prelim Task; Market Research-Typography Moodboard
Overall I have found out that most Masthead are either simple, big and black or are either bold with a vibrant colour. I think for my magazine an elegant font will suit it as my one is really sophisticated. The mastheads also have 5-9 letters in their name which tell's me my masthead should be short too.
